BPEEC IS A

EGG AND NUT-FREE ZONE!

Miss Janet has been our Cook at Bayside Park Early Education Centre since 2011, and her niece Emma has been with us since 2023.  Both Miss Janet and Miss Emma ensure that we offer a varied lunch menu to children in each Activity Room. Parents are asked to provide a piece of fruit for Morning Tea, which is complimented with the option of yoghurt (inc Coconut Yoghurt) each day. Meals are nutritionally balanced and prepared fresh on our premises.

The Centre operates a 6-week rotating Menu with dishes that consist of Chicken, Fish, Red Meat, Pasta, Rice and Vegetables. Afternoon Tea consists of fruit, and sandwiches with a variety of fillings including cheese, ham, avocado and vegemite.

Drinks offered are milk and water (Fruit juice is not offered due to high sugar content). Please advise staff if your child has any special dietary requirements or food allergies, so that we can endeavour to meet their individual needs. Those families with children who have specific dietary requirements may be asked to provide suitable foods for their children which can be used in conjunction with foods provided by the Centre, and to ensure that these foods are clearly labelled with their child’s name.

The Centre is a member of Nutrition Australia and Coeliac Australia, our Staff participate in Food Safety Training, and our Centre Kitchen operates under an Accredited Food Safety Program which is monitored by the Redland City Council.

WE ASK THAT YOU RESPECT OUR CENTRE POLICY IN REGARDS TO CHILDREN'S SAFETY, HEALTH AND NUTRITION, AND THAT YOU DO NOT BRING ANY FOOD ITEMS TO THE CENTRE, OTHER THAN A PIECE OF FRESH FRUIT EACH DAY.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR CHILD HAS CLEAN CLOTHES/HANDS/FACE IF THEY HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH NUTS OR EGGS PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE CENTRE, AS THESE WILL POSE A HEALTH & SAFETY RISK TO OUR CHILDREN WITH ANAPHYLAXIS.
